All the kids in the Snow

Mike and the boys!

Well ----as usual I am late with Carrigan's 5 month post but better late than never!
Carrigan you are now 17 lbs and a chubby happy baby. During your 5th month you played in the snow for the first time and made your first trip to Louisiana for Uncle Joel and Aunt Melanie's wedding. We are finally home for a while and you are sleeping great. You are now eating cereal, oatmeal, fruit and veggies. You love your solid food and get cranky if I am late feeding you. We are so in love with you and we are so grateful to God for blessing our family with you! We love you sweet C!

A few other stats:
  • 17 lbs
  • size 2 diapers
  • size 6 months clothes
  • 2 good naps during the day
  • sleeping through the night (most nights)
  • sitting up with help--very wiggly
  • rolls from back to tummy
  • teething but no teeth have popped through the gums
  • loves patty cake and your brothers
  • laughs at daddy's funny noises
  • cuddly with mom all the time

We have had two big snow even in the last 3 weeks and we had a great time playing in the snow. Noah and Grayson spent most of the morning out in the snow building forts, throwing snow balls and tackling dad. Carrigan spent a few minutes out in the snow--just long enough for some pictures. At one point during the day--Grayson rang the door bell and ask daddy to come out and "fight" with he and Noah. These boys are too funny! We had a great time but the adults in the Baker house are ready for Spring--I think Carrigan is ready too!

4 months

Where has 4 months gone? The time is going so fast and you are growing so fast! Carrigan you are a precious, sweet girl! You are bringing such joy and you are adding to the fun that we already have! We love you more and more everyday, and we can't wait to see how the Lord blesses your life!

Here is what is going on with you at 4 months!

  • 15 lbs 4 oz and 25 1/2 inches long
  • you are wearing size 2 diapers and mostly 3-6 month clothes
  • you are eating every 3-4 hours
  • you were sleeping all night but have recently starting to wake up to eat. Dr. O says this is normal since you are going through a growth spurt.
  • Dr. O says to wait until 5-6 months to start cereal
  • You rolled from your back to your tummy this morning for the first time without any help -YAY!

Merry Christmas!

At the right time, God sent His Son, born of a woman, to buy freedom for us and adopt us as His very own children.

3 months

I can't believe you are already 3 months--how can I slow time down?

You are the easiest baby--you are so happy and very smiley. Noah and Grayson are in love with you. They love to hold you and you love for them to talk to you. If they leave the room, you are looking for them and will start to fuss if they are gone too long. Here are a few more facts about you at 3 months:

  1. you are wearing 3-6 month clothes and a size 2 diaper
  2. you are eating every 3 hours during the day
  3. you go to bed between 8 and 9 at night and sleep about 5-6 hours and then after eating another 3-4 hours. This is really good for one of my babies. Noah got up every 1 1/2 hours.
  4. you take 2-3 short cat naps during the day and 1 nice long nap ( I have to work at this one to get you to stay asleep)
  5. the best I can guess you are about 14 lbs

Carrigan you are such a blessing to our family. We are truly enjoying every minute of your life and we can't wait to see what each day brings with you. Love you sweet girl!

2 months!

Miss Carrigan--you are 2 months old. This post is a little late but I was waiting for your dr's appointment so I could include your stats!
You are 12 lbs 7 oz and 23 inches long. You are eating every 3-4 hours and going about the same at night. I am going to let you sleep alone for the first time tonight to see if that helps you sleep a little longer. You got a great report from the doctor. Your hematacrit numbers are on the rise--this is a good thing after your blood transfusions. Dr. O did stay that you can't go to the nursery at church yet because you are more susceptible to the flu and RSV so you will be hanging out with me and dad for a few more months on Sunday morning. I don't mind a bit!
You made your first trip to the pumpkin patch--I will have to borrow some pictures from Aunt Jami--my hands were full with you so I didn't take many pictures. We had a great time!
You are wearing a size 1 diaper and still are in 0-3 month clothes but can wear a few smaller 3-6 months.
You are the sweetest most content baby. We rarely hear you cry unless we are late with bath time. You love to smile at Noah and Grayson and they get the easiest smiles from you. You are still a morning person and are happiest early in the morning!
We are all so in love with you and can't seem to remember what life was like without our sweet girl! We are so grateful to God for trusting you with us!

Carrigan is 1 month!

Carrigan you are 1 month old! You weighed 8lbs 8oz and 21 inches long last week at your Dr's appointment. You are eating every 3-4 hours and are sleeping really good at night. You are very laid back and mellow like your dad. You are staying awake more now during the day. You are so happy in the morning and it is so easy to get a smile from you then. I think you are going to be a morning person like your mom and your Noah! You love your brothers and like to look for them when you hear their voices. You are the sweetest baby and we have already forgotten what life was like without you. We love you and are enjoying every moment with you!
