Smores and the Baker boys

Last January N, G, and I spent a weekend at my sister's house and she let the boys make smores in her fireplace. Needless to say they loved it. So now that it is cold enough for a fire, this has been the dessert of choice for the last several nights. N really loves to eat the smores and G just likes roasting the marshmallows. It has been a really fun thing for us to do at the end of busy days.

7 x 7

I want to start by saying I will not normally post twice in one day, but I want to point out the 7x7 button on the right side of my blog. This is something that I found on one of my favorite blogs Bring the Rain written by Angie Smith. This is a reminder to me to pray for my kids 7 times a day 7 days a week. If you click on the picture it will link to her blog. Her post explains when she prays and what she prays for her daughters. Just a good reminder for me and I wanted to share with any of you who might be parents.

October Pictures

October has been busy at the Baker house. N and Mike were asked to be in a wedding for Robbie and Roxanne Crafton. N was so excited about his tux and I can see why. I think he looks great in a tux as does my husband. N kept looking in the mirror saying " I look good." Too funny. It was a busy weekend filled with rehearsal and then the wedding on that Saturday but we had a great time and the wedding was beautiful.
Last weekend was Trunk or Treat at our church. I love that our church offers this alternative to Halloween. I am not against Halloween but I have issues with taking my kids door to door to strangers homes. The first year we took N trick or treating, we drove all over town to just people we knew. He loved it, but it is not practical now that we live in a larger city. Anyway--here are a few pictures of my two "superheros" N was Batman and G was Mr. Incredible. Mr. Incredible was a last minute decision for G. He had several hand me down costumes to choose from and Mr. Incredible won.
I am really looking forward to Thanksgiving. November starts a really busy time with our family and our church. I am sure this the case for most families but I hope we are able to enjoy the Holiday season that is coming. Hope you all have a great weekend!
